About institution

Until 1966, classes had been conducted in as many as five buildings in Bajša, and that had greatly hampered the educational process.
That year, a new facility with seven classrooms - study rooms was finally built, and in 1970 a gym, a technical education study room, one more classroom and a district heating room were also built. In 1988, a spacious dining room was added to the school, and in 2004, three more new study rooms were added as well.

Today, languages of instructions at the school are Serbian and Hungarian. Until 1975, Slovak had also been one of the languages of instructions, however, due to the insufficient number of pupils, instructions in the Slovak language were abolished. Older pupils attend classes in the morning shift, and pupils grades 1 to 4 attend the school in the afternoon shift. The school has eight parallel classes from fifth to eighth grade, and six classes for lower grade pupils. Two mixed age classes in the Serbian language, which are located in the neighbouring settlement Panonija, also belong to Bajša. There are 45 employees in the school, some of them are inhabitants of Bajša, and some of them commute to work from the neighbouring places. There are 14 study rooms in the school building where modern teaching, adjusted to the 21st century, is conducted Teaching of informatics, computing and multimedia is conducted in separate rooms.

All the above enables the final grades pupils to continue their education in the desired profession, without major difficulties. Pedagogues, and in fact all employees of the Bajša school, with their actions and educational work, certainly contribute to creating satisfied and useful citizens for our community.
