About institution
The Primary and Secondary School "Anton Skala" was founded in 1972 as an inter-municipal school for primary education of children with developmental difficulties in municipalities of Stara Pazova and Inđija. In 1995 the school was also verified as a secondary school, field of work: mechanical engineering - metal processing, textile and leather manufacture. Students from municipalities of Pećinci and Zemun attend the school. The school satellite units are situated in Beška, Nova Pazova, Inđija and Pećinci.
We have provided the assistance of expert defectologists and speech and language therapists in schools in the territory of all three municipalities, since 2011. On 18 June 2016, under a Decision of the Provincial Secretariat for Education, we were granted a consent to extend the school activities to provision of social services, as follows: Day care facility "Iskorak" (Step Forward) for children and young people aged 18 to 27, Home assistance to children with developmental difficulties and their families and Holistic and Rehabilitation Centre "Oslonac" (Support).
